Al Perry introduces songs from Waves Crash In on his World Famous Clambake Show (KXCI – Tucson, AZ)

When I finished my first CD, Lucky Strike, I sent a copy to my local public radio station KXCI, thinking there was a slight possibility of being played on their Locals Only show. Somehow, my disk was passed around and ended up on Tucson, local musical legend, Al Perry’s desk and he found something in my stuff that he liked. Now, after releasing my fourth album, I sent Al a copy and he introduced some of my songs on-air. A few of my out of town friends asked after the fact if I had recorded that portion of his show. I hadn’t, but thanks to the miracle of the internet and short term archiving, I was able to snag a copy of this and put it up on my youtube channel:

As a fringe outsider indie artist, Al’s support and encouragement has really meant a lot to me. When I first started making music, I wondered if even any of my friends would be interested in what I was doing, so to have a such a respected musician and local personality appreciating my songs has really blown me away. I have a very strong determination to create music and write songs that for one reason or another I need to get out of me. So, anyway, you can listen to my songs being played on the radio in the above audio track! And as on online listener has joked, first my song was played on Al’s World Famous Clambake show, and now my online followers from around the world were listening as well… so in some small way, my music was now world famous as well! Hahaha! Best all and thanks for your support!
